He's 'new' country in my book. Just too pretty for me. I like my country singers ugly. Like Lyle Lovett, there's an ugly man. Although, Lyle's brand of country is a bit soft for me. I like Western Swing and the Bakersfield sound. Buck Owens, Waylon, Derailers, Hank III...

With all due respect, Marty Stuart is not even close to "new country". He is indeed one of the best at what he does. Anyone who shares the stage with the likes of Peter Rowan,Jerry Douglas,Mark O'Conner etc. is fine with me. Mostly bluegrass but not limited. There is a torrent on bt.etree right now Merle Watson Memorial Bluegrass Fest. Check it out if you like the real thing.

I actually Sorta Like Marty Stewart's Stuff. I this is from someone who doesnt care for Full on Country Music. Much prefer Outlaw Country Like Johnny Cash, Waylon, Willie, Merle and Such. Marty has more of a bluegrass background. Plus I am a sucker for Good Mandolin. Lum Edwards
